GPPAC in New York 26-31 October 2014

In the week of 26 until 31 October, our Gender Experts met for their annual ‘1325' week in New York and  the 14 years of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325). The week focused on exchange and events, bringing our gender experts' local stories from conflict settings to New York- based policy makers, civil society partners and global media.
Our gender experts met and engaged with various government missions to the United Nations in New York including the Permanent Mission of the Netherlands, with members of the Advisory Group on UN Women's Global Study, with civil society partners including Peacewomen, the post-2015 Women's Coalition, the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders and the World Federalist Movement, and with the UN Non-Governmental Liaison Service. They also participated and monitored the Open Debate on Women, Peace and Security in the Security Council.
