Welcome
Nansen Dialogue Centre Serbia and the Global Partnership of the Prevention of Armed Conflicts in the Western Balkans initiated the first Arts Competition for schoolchildren on 21st September 2010 with the objective to introduce pupils and students with the concept of International Day of Peace and enable wither youth participation in the regional peacebuilding activities.
The topic of the first Arts Competition held in 2010 was PEOPLE BUILDING PEACE.
The great participation and children's imagination motivated NDC Serbia and GPPAC Western Balkans to make the Arts Competition an annual event launched once a year on the International Day of Peace. Upon the closing of the competition a selection committee selects twelve winning artworks that will illustrate the Peace Calendar for the next year.
The topic of the arts competition in 2011 was: FRIDTJOF NANSEN – THE MAN WHO WAS BUILDING PEACE.
