Peacebuilding Commission (PBC) Expert-Level meeting on UN-World Bank study on prevention - 11 April 2017

The Peacebuilding Commission (PBC) Expert-Level meeting on the UN-World Bank (WB) study on prevention of violent conflicts, by giving an overview of the latest 20-year conflict development's trend, was aimed at improving the stakeholders understanding of how development processes interact with security, political, and human rights tools, to prevent conflicts from becoming violent. To this end, and in view of preparing the next annual report, two representatives from the WB Fragility, Conflict and Violence Group presented a new conceptual model for tackling violent conflict, stressing the need on focusing on peace and resilience drivers.
