Peacebuilding Commission (PBC) Ambassadorial-level meeting of the Burundi configuration (open) - Report of the Chair on his visit to Burundi - 21 July 2017

At this meeting of the Peacebuilding Commission (PBC) Burundi Configuration, the Chair of the configuration, Permanent Representative to the UN for Switzerland, reported on his last visit to Burundi on 10-14 July. The aim of the visit was to focus on the economic and social situation and international cooperation, and insist on the relevance of dialogue and get a first-hand impression of developments in the country. The Chair's report was followed by an intervention by the Director and Deputy Head of the Peacebuilding Support Office, PBSO and the Permanent Representative to the UN of Burundi as well as comments and questions from the floor.
