The Peace Portal is intended for anyone who wishes to know more about conflict prevention and peace building. It is a source of information for all the actors in this field, ranging from civil society and grass root organisations to policy makers and academics. The Portal provides extensive content in this area such as publications and reports together with real time and user generated information.

The users of the portal will be the main providers of the content. Our intent is to draw on the extensive knowledge of civil society and grassroots organisations, who understand the practicalities of conflict prevention and who can share context-specific solutions to constrain violence and build peace.

Registered users can submit material directly to the Portal at any time, such as blogs, pictures, and videos. Additionally, users can create/join communities, initiate and participate in discussions, collaborate online with other users, receive regular information on their topics of interest and have access to their personalised page.
