Finally: the Long-Awaited UN-World Bank Group Study on Prevention of Violent Conflicts

This joint study on the prevention of violent conflict  a first in the history of our institutions — was initiated in 2016 and conducted by a team of staff members from the United Nations and the World Bank Group, in a spirit of fostering closer collaboration to deliver at the country level. It reflects a process of research and intense global consultation aimed at providing ideas on how development approaches can better interact with other tools to prevent violent conflict.

GPPAC's Page on Gender and Women, Peace & Security

This online community is a space for peacemakers from all over the world to engage, learn, work and strive towards a holistic Women, Peace and Security agenda. The aim of this community is to enable space and support the participants of GPPAC's advocacy group to share expertise and experience while at the same time highlight their achievements and value within the GPPAC network.

GPPAC's Gender Focal Points are portrayed and show their stand on the implementation of Women, Peace and Security. Further, resources are provided, success stories displayed and activities presented.

Conference: "Final WOSCAP & IECEU Conference Brussels, November 8th 2017 09:00 – 18:30"

IECEU (Improving the Effectiveness of Capabilities in EU Conflict Prevention) and WOSCAP (Whole of Society Conflict Prevention and Peacebuilding) are organising their final conference together on 8 November 2017 in Brussels, with the purpose of bringing together all relevant stakeholders and end-users in the field of the European Union's conflict prevention and peacebuilding efforts. The conference will aim to present both H2020-funded projects research results and recommendations as well as to contribute to further debate and improvement of the EU's conflict prevention and peacebuilding interventions through sustainable, comprehensive and innovative means

The Role of Young People in Preventing Violent Extremism in the Lake Chad Basin

The study commissioned by the Civil Society Platform for Peacebuilding and Statebuilding (CSPPS) in collaboration with the Centre for Sustainable Development and Education in Africa (CSDEA) is a contribution to the global progress study on youth's positive contribution to peace processes and conflict resolution. The objective of the study was to document the role of youth-led and youth-focused conflict and extremism prevention approaches that are dynamic and promote peacebuilding.

Call for Case Studies

Collaborative Learning Projects (CDA) is collecting case studies as part of a project supported by Humanity United: "Collective Impact for Peacebuilding: Testing a new model." The primary aim of this project is to document and learn from the experiences of collective impact efforts by formal and informal networks and consortia in peacebuilding to develop further insights about multi-stakeholder initiatives.
