Any registered user can now easily upload stories, documents, reports and articles on the Peace Portal and share them with the peacebuilding community.

  • Map your projects, reports and organisation in the Peace Map!

All information shared on the Peace Portal is geo-tagged and displayed in an interactive map. The Peace Map aggregates geographically all information uploaded in the Peace Portal, from reports and documents to organisations and from vacancies to communities. As the Peace Portal is an open platform, all peace building organisations or individuals working in conflict areas can make use of it to get extra visibility of their activities and experiences.

  • Support your campaigns online, make them digitally interactive and more cost efficient.

Peace Portal can create and customise online web spaces adapted to your specific needs. These online web spaces can be set up almost real-time and can support off-line events online.

Example: ‘Arts Competition People Building Peace' was a pilot project held on the Peace Portal where users could vote for their favourite illustrations representing peace, made by various school children in Western Balkans. The competition was organised by Nansen Dialogue Centres and GPPAC Western Balkans. The winners and results were also displayed here, where the winning illustrations are part of the Peace Calendar 2011

  •  Support your work with partners with online working rooms (communities)

The Peace Portal offers the possibility to create your customised online working rooms, in which members can communicate via discussion forums and blogs; can share documentation, pictures and videos; share events in a calendar; see all content in the map of community; edit documents together, etc. New functionalities are planned like web conferencing. This is an ideal way to make collaboration with people and organisations working all over the world more efficiently.

Example of community: GPPAC International Steering Group community: allows members to communicate, collaborate, share and work on documents together with all GPPAC members. It mainly focused on PME& Finance, Governance and Meetings.
