Launch of the Peace Portal

We are happy to announce that the Peace Portal will officially be launched on January 26th 2012, in The Hague. To mark this special occasion, we are hosting an event that will include several speakers at the Museum for Communications in The Hague, at 16:00 GMT +1.

Programme
The event will be opened by Joris Voorhoeve, Co-chair of the GPPAC Foundation Board, and one of the speakers will be Marjolein de Jong, the Alderman and Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of The Hague. It will include international speakers that will talk about the use of new media for peacebuilding, such as Michael Shank, US Vice President of the Institute of Economics and Peace.
The latest GPPAC publication People Building Peace 2.0 will also be presented, which is the result of a worldwide online contest on the Peace Portal. The author of the winning story, François Lenfant, will receive the first copy of the publication, and attendees will receive a free hardcopy as well.

Attendees are welcome to visit the Museum voor Communicatie on January 26 from 14:00 onwards for free.
